Google Cloud Run: Serverless Container Scaling
An informative session on scaling serverless applications quickly and easily on GCP in association with Ganpat University and GDSC UVPCE.

Event Overview
Event Overview
As cloud-native engineering evolves, developers need infrastructure that scales instantly under heavy traffic without requiring manual Kubernetes cluster management or idle compute costs. On April 20, 2023, Ahmedabad Developer Club teamed up with Ganpat University and GDSC UVPCE to host an authoritative offline seminar on Google Cloud Run, featuring Pratik Panchal, Director of Engineering at Bacancy.
Inside the MBA Auditorium
Hosted in the expansive MBA Auditorium at Ganpat University from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Pratik delivered an immersive 3-hour masterclass:
- The Serverless Container Paradigm: Bridging the gap between standard Docker containers and fully managed serverless execution environments on GCP.
- Zero-to-Scale Telemetry: Live demonstration of deploying stateless web services that automatically scale out to handle thousands of concurrent requests before gracefully scaling down to zero when idle.
- Production Best Practices: Managing environment variables, IAM permissions, CI/CD integration via Cloud Build, and VPC network connectors.
Strengthening Regional Cloud Literacy
By uniting hundreds of engineering students and local developers inside a state-of-the-art campus facility, this session exemplified ADC's core commitment to bringing top-tier industry engineering leaders directly to developing technical talent across Gujarat.
